SAME Student Chapters hold first annual pumpkin carving contest

On October, members of SAME Student Chapters held an engineering-themed  pumpkin carving contest.

Along with the engineering motif, the pumpkins were also required to have the SAME logo and the school’s name or emblem. Pepperdine University emerged as the winner. The Student Chapter carved the Golden Gate Bridge into their submission calling it “an iconic feat of engineering.”

The SAME Pepperdine University Student Chapter will be presented an award at the Student Leadership Workshop in January 2013 where representatives from each Student Chapter assemble to gain valuable mentoring to aid them in becoming quality leaders.

This event marks the first annual SAME Student Chapters Pumpkin Carving Contest.
