SAME offered two new Continuing Education courses at Linthicum, Md. on Feb. 5, 2013. The day-long courses, Project Management Best Business Practices and Federal Source Selection: Making it Work for Government and Industry, each granted 8 PDHs and 8 AIA LUs.
Linthicum is a city in Anne Arundel County, close to the Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) airport. The area was affected by a snow storm on Feb. 5, making it difficult to commute but all 25 pre-registered students still managed to attend the Continuing Education event.
William A. Sorrentino, Jr., P.E., PMP, DBIA, led the Project Management Best Business Practices course while Maureen Q. Weller instructed the Federal Source Selection: Making it Work for Government and Industry course.
Both sessions were highly rated by attendees with comments such as “Instructor is clearly an expert, spoke to his audience and provided very valuable tools” “Topic was relevant and instructor was excellent” for Sorrentino’s course and “Very good explanation of the LPTA and Tradeoff methodologies,” “Great coverage of material and relevant to our work with USACE and other agencies” for Weller’s session.
