JETC: Day One Complete

Day one of the SAME 2014 JETC is in the books. From the Board of Direction meeting, to a technical tour of Port Canaveral, the NCO/Young Member/Fellow Networking Event, Continuing Education Sessions, the Ice Breaker and much more, Tuesday at JETC had something for everyone.
Wednesday begins bright and early at 0800 hours with a year in review with SAME President Rear Adm. Gary Engle, F.SAME, USN (Ret.), to be followed by a DOD Executive Panel with Lt. Gen. Thomas Bostick, USA, Army Chief of Engineers, Rear Adm. Kate Gregory, USN, Chief of Civil Engineers, and Brig. Gen. Tim Green, USAF, Director of Civil Engineers.
The Exhibit Hall opens at 10 am. This year, more than 200 exhibitors from across the A/E/C industry are at JETC to showcase their services, make business connections and meet with fellow attendees. Take a tour of the exhibit hall and establish a relationship you can only make face-to-face.
The Honors Luncheon will be begin Wednesday at noon to honor the 2013 SAME and uniform service award winners, including the 2013 Sustaining Member companies of the year, public agency member of the year, Sustainability Award recipients and Top Post honorees. Gen. Bostick, Adm. Gregory, Gen. Green, as well as U.S. Public Health Service Chief Engineer Officer Rear Adm. Randall J.F. Gardner, USPHS, and from the Coast Guard, Rear Adm. Jim Heinz, USCG, will be on hand to honor award winners from their respective services. SAME President Gary Engle also will present. This year, more than 30 award winners are at JETC to be recognized for their outstanding service to military engineering and SAME.
