JETC: Call for Presentations



The Call for Presentations for the 2016 JETC in Phoenix is now open. This year, SAME is introducing a new way for subject matter experts to bring cutting-edge insights and lessons learned to the military engineering community. The goal is to attract a broader, more diverse mix of presenters from across the A/E/C industry and related fields.

SAME’s premiere education and training conference, JETC annually draws more than 1,600 professionals from across government and industry, including servicemembers and public sector civilians; engineers, constructors and architects; facility managers; project managers; business development professionals; small business owners; and more.

The 2016 JETC will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center, May 24-26.



JETC sessions are one hour each and can be a single presenter or a panel format.  There also is flexibility to accommodate a two-hour session if required. For the 2016 JETC, preferred focus areas for presentations topics include:

2014 JETC



Call for Presentations Opens—Dec. 8, 2015
Deadline for submission—Jan. 25, 2016
Acceptance notifications sent—Feb 22, 2016
Final presentations due in PPT format—April 25, 2016



IMPORTANT!  We suggest you first develop your submission proposal in Word to save your work, and then copy and paste the information into the appropriate sections in the online form. The online form does not have spell check so editing your information in advance and then copying and pasting will ensure greater accuracy.

All individuals must submit an abstract of his/her presentation. All presenters will be selected based on the abstract.  Each abstract must contain the following information:

  • Title should capture in 10 words or less whom your session is targeting and the topic covered
  • 200- to 400-word description
  • Four learning objectives that participants will take away from the session
  • 100-word biography of the presenter or each panelist
  • Desired length of session; 60 mins or 120 mins to include Q&A
  • Qualifications on subject
  • Past conferences where this information has been presented to include references
