U.S. Department of Defense Announces Engineering Contract Recipients

The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) announced its most recent contracts on Nov. 1o. The contracts, valued at $5 million or more, varied from engineering projects to food services and logistics support. Most of the bids were solicited through the Internet. Here are highlights of contracts awarded to the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Sustaining Member Companies.

Legis Consultancy Inc., Atlanta, Ga., was awarded a $20 million contract to provide for the architect-engineering services for nationwide cost engineering support for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Walla Walla district.

The construction services of Rush – Link One JV, Titusville, Fla.,was chosen for the $14 million contract designated for the construction of an Army Reserve center in West Palm Beach. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with six bids received. USACE Louisville, Ky. is the contracting activity.

LMG Construction Services, LLC., Kansas City, Mo., was awarded an $8 million contract for the construction of an operation readiness battalion complex at Fort Bliss, Texas.  USACE Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity and the bid was solicited through the Internet, with 10 bids received.

Raytheon, Integrated Defense Systems, Tewksbury, Mass., is being awarded a $20 million modification to a previously awarded contract. The work is for exercising options for engineering, production and integration services.  Work will be performed in various locations including Portsmouth, R.I.; Tewksbury, Mass.; Marlboro, Mass.; Dulles, Va.; San Diego, Calif.; and Alexandria, Va. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
