About Bricks & Clicks
The mission of the Society of American Military Engineers is to promote and facilitate engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector engineers, and related professionals.
The phrase “Bricks and Clicks” was coined during the mid-1990s as new business models emerged that sought to strike a balance between traditional (“bricks and mortar”) and Internet commerce. In the same spirit, this name embodies SAME’s commitment to utilizing the most modern and efficient means of connecting with our members while not losing sight of SAME’s strong and proud roots. This blog seeks to foster constructive, real-time discourse on topics of importance to SAME members and other industry and military professionals, as well as provide readers a more intimate perspective on the happenings of SAME.
